We do our best to keep product on the shelf, but sometimes unavoidable supplier issues can create delays, which we will do our best to communicate in a timely manner. Some products are built to order; all are handcrafted, carefully tested and inspected to assure impeccable quality.
Customs Fees. Although it may seem obvious, INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPORT DUTY FEES. We do not pre-charge these fees at checkout. One way or another, international customers will need to pay these import duties, and they cannot be avoided. Most of the time, the shipper collects these fees at the time of delivery, so be prepared for that. Also please realize that these charges are out of our control and we receive no remuneration for them. Please do NOT ask us to declare the product as a gift or falsify its value on the Commercial Invoice.
Unless otherwise noted at Checkout, a handling fee of $5.00 is included in each order (also covers packaging material) in the continental United States. Therefore the total shipping number shown in Checkout is the sum of the actual fee (from the carrier; for example, USPS) plus this handling fee. Our standard carrier is USPS Priority in the USA and USPS First Class International outside the USA, but other options are available at checkout. For reference, shipping is from our Broomfield, Colorado location. Note that shipping transit time estimates on the checkout page are in business days. These are estimates from the carriers and are out of our control.
Shipping Adjustments and Upgrades. KCC Scientific reserves the right to adjust shipping fees or carriers to accommodate order size. If an adjustment is necessary you will be notified prior to shipment if additional fees need to be assessed. This especially applies to international orders, although we strive to provide and adhere to best estimate possible at time of order. We also reserve the right to upgrade shipping arrangements to improve delivery time where possible.
If we do adjust to a different shipper or shipping service, it will always be to provide a better shipping experience, shorter transit time or similar, in consideration of market and prevailing conditions. We will NEVER provide a service that is less than what you have selected at checkout.
If you wish to purchase multiple units or a mix of units, contact us ahead of time. We can sometimes offer better shipping costs and terms.
And yes, periodically we DO use good-condition recycled fill materials for shipping in order to conserve the environment and minimize waste. But only new shipping materials come in direct contact with the product.
